Major U.S. Weather News – Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016:
Heavy rain in Southern California on Tuesday forced the closing of a number of streets and the Six Flags Amusement Park. Rain near the coast and snow in the mountains will continue until Friday. There are also high surf advisories, which could make coastal flooding even worse.
The river flooding in the Midwest continues. On Wednesday, the crest will have moved south of Missouri.
An Arctic blast will keep the Eastern half of the U.S. cold for the rest of this week and into next week.
