Lego Batman Coming to Theatres

Children have been playing with the colourful bricks known as LEGOs for generation. Now the creative toys have become an art form of their own as adults have taken the toys to new heights…in film.

The newest of those movies is based on the crime fighting superhero Batman; appropriately titled “The Lego Batman Movie”.

This is not the caped crusader’s first Lego film, Batman first appeared in the original “Lego Movie” and now gets his own film.

The film features the voice of Will Arnett as Batman himself. Michael Cera, Rosario Dawson, Ralph Fliennes, Zach Galifianakis, and pop diva Mriah Carey as Gotham City Mayor Marion Grange also lend their voices to the production.

The soundtrack includes music from Wiz Khalifa.

Set for a February 2017 release, Chris McKay, Phil Lord, and Chris Miller were all a part of “The Lego Movie” and have returned to be a part of “The Lego Batman Movie”.

Batman – err Leo Batman – must once again save his beloved city from the throws of the evil Joker.

And in case there was any doubt about whether the Lego crime fighter’s ability to deliver a line; he dispels any doubts in the opening scenes of the trailer saying, “I might as well tell you about my new feature film The Lego Batman Movie, written, directed, sound-mixed, choreographed, and painstakingly beatboxed by me. Because I’m Batman.”
