Weather forecast April 7, 2016:  After a mild winter, spring is hitting the eastern half of the U.S. with a vengeance.  This week, another storm will cross the country bringing rain to the central states and more snow to the Great Lakes and Northeast region of the U.S.  The next few days will be warm along the West Coast, with cooler weather and rain expected later in the week.  Great Britain will also have cooler weather and showers.  See more weather photos, videos and maps.

Chicago, IL:  Hi 42 / Low 31 (possibility of rain or snow showers)

New York, NY: Hi 60 / Low 40 (possible storms)

Portland, OR:  Hi 83 / Low 49

Despite the sun, this photo looks cold.  Most of the Northeast has been experiencing a Big Chill for the past few days, with accumulations of up to 8 inches of snow in places!

U.S. Weather Forecast April 7, 2016:

Below is the “Big Picture,” showing where the majority of storms will be affecting the U.S. this week.  Winter Storm Ursula has moved off-shore, but another storm is moving in.  It will start with a wintry mix of rain and snow in the Northeastern quadrant of the U.S., turning to snow in the Northeast later in the week.  There will also be stormy weather in the middle of the country:
