At least one dead in Tel Aviv market shooting

Update: Times of Israel has reported one of the shootings took place inside of the Sarona marketplace, while the other took place on Ha’arba’ah Street. Both gunmen were shot and taken into custody by security forces.

Three people have reportedly died from the shooting. One is still in critical condition and four others are still in serious condition.

Original report: At least one person has died and several others have been hurt in a mass shooting that took place Wednesday night around 9:30 p.m. local time in Sarona Market located in Tel Aviv.

Gunfire broke out in the marketplace resulting in the death of at least one and injury of at least eight others. According to BNO News, Israeli Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld stated the police were already on the scene and confirmed a number of people were injured. The area has been closed off to the public.

Authorities are claiming the possibility of two gunmen. One has already been taken into custody.

The Sarona Market is Israel’s largest indoor culinary marketplace, covering more than 8,700 square feet, and features 91 different shops, restaurants, and stands.
