American University Attacked by Gunmen in Kabul

Breaking: Following an initial explosion to create an entryway, gunfire erupted as gunmen entered the American University of Afghanistan in Darul Aman Road in Kabul shortly after 7 p.m., local time, on Wednesday.

As told to the Associated Press, it has been confirmed by Mark English, the president of the university, that a militant attack is underway on the campus. Dozens of students and staff members are trapped inside as police and intelligence agency personnel are at the campus, as told by Sediq Sediqqi, Interior Ministry spokesman.
