After the marathon of a race last week at Bristol Motor Speedway, NASCAR issued a series of written warnings and penalties to a number of the racing teams this week for infractions that occurred during the racing weekend.
The number 18 Joe Gibbs Racing team was issued their fourth written warning for failing pre race laser inspection twice at Bristol. Since it was the teams fourth infraction, the car driven by the reigning Sprint Cup champion Kyle Busch will be the last team to choose their pit stall this coming week at Michigan Motor Speedway.
The Joe Gibbs Racing number eleven car driven by Denny Hamlin was issued a written warning for failing pre race laser inspection.
The Richard Childress Racing team number 31 driven by Ryan Newman failed pre race laser inspection.
The Furniture Row Racing team driven by Martin Truex Jr failed pre race laser inspection.
The Team Penske driven by Joey Logano failed pre qualifying laser inspection twice.
The Xfinity Series number three Chevrolet driven by Ty Dillon failed pre race laser inspection.
The Xfinity Series number 93 Chevrolet driven by David Starr failed pre race laser inspection.
NASCAR crew member Ryan Southall was suspended indefinitely after violating NASCAR’s substance abuse policy.
