Breaking News: FBI Director James Comey has cleared any doubts about the legality of the additional emails related to Hillary Clinton during her tenure as U.S. Secretary of State in a letter written to 16 members of Congress on Sunday, Nov. 6, 2016.

The newest emails were found by FBI agents during another investigation, one into Anthony Weiner, whose estranged wife, Huma Abedin, works with Hillary Clinton, the subject of which was shared by Comey with 16 members of Congress through a letter written on Oct. 28, 2016. According to the November 6 letter from Comey, the FBI’s investigative team worked “around the clock” to comb through the emails sent either to or from Hillary Clinton from 2004 through 2008.
As a result of that investigation, as at the conclusion of an earlier investigation of Clinton’s emails that Comey announced in July 2016, no criminal charges are recommended for the Democratic presidential candidate, with two days to go before the election.
Clinton spokeswoman, Jennifer Palmieri, said she was “Glad to see” Comey’s affirmation of the July 2016 conclusion, adding that “the matter is resolved.”
Reaction to the breaking news on Twitter runs the gamut of emotions and seems to be as divided as the individuals who support the two major presidential candidates, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump:
