Brief Bachelor Recap Jan. 9, 2017:

There was plenty of emotion on this week’s episode of The Bachelor.  Much of it involved Liz, who had previously enjoyed a one-night-stand with Nick the night of Jade and Tanner’s wedding, then refused to give him her phone number.  Of course, she could not keep it a secret, so the story quickly spread and got back to Nick.  This made Nick wonder why Liz showed up for his season of The Bachelor.  Was she there for the right reasons or did she just want to be on television again?

Twelve women went on a group date with Nick, during which they got to dress in wedding dresses at the Ascona Mansion in Los Angeles and have photos taken with Nick … their dream groom.  The women were Alexis, Brittany, Corinne, Danielle L., Elizabeth W., Hailey, Jasmine, Lacey, Raven, Sarah, Taylor, and Vanessa.  Naturally, a couple of the bachelorettes got carried away and went topless in front of Nick and the other women.  One of them, Corinne, was also unusually aggressive about spending time with Nick throughout the evening which, of course, irritated everyone else.  However, she was the one who won the group date rose, which secured her spot for another week and really annoyed everyone else!

Danielle M. was chosen to go on the first one-on-one date.  She and Nick took a helicopter to a yacht off the coast of Newport Beach where they enjoyed private time together, relaxing in a hot tub.  Afterwards, they shared a romantic dinner together in the middle of the street outside a restaurant on charming Balboa Penninsula.  During the dinner, they both talked about their dating past and Danielle M. confided that her former fiance had died of a drug overdose, and she was the one who found him.  Nick said he admired her for her honesty and he gave her the date rose.  She was secure for another week, too.

During  a second group date, six women went to the Los Angeles Museum of Broken Relationships where they had fun pretending to “break-up” with Nick.  The women were Astrid, Christen, Jaimi, Josephine, Kristina, and Liz.  Liz confessed to Christen that she had a previous relationship with Nick.  Later, Christen revealed to Nick what Liz told her.  This caused Nick to confront Liz privately and, ultimately, send her home before this week’s rose ceremony.

Afterwards, he talked to the other women and explained why Liz was sent home.  Unfortunately, after the drama with Liz, the rose ceremony was postponed until next week. However, as you will see below, there are online rumors about who was sent home.
