Be Their Guest!
Cinemablend recounts that according to Entertainment Weekly, the new Beauty and the Beast trailer hit 127.6 million views in 24 hours across many global platforms. This record leap was helped by the main star of the movie- Emma Watson. A cool 27 million views originated from the trailer Emma Watson posted to her Facebook page. It gave a considerable push to the live Q an A segment Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Josh Gad and director Bill Condon conducted on Facebook. It also pushed Beauty and the Beast’s trailer ahead of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” which now sits at the #2 spot!
Beauty and the Beast, the nostalgic story that tells ones of Disney’s most beloved tales, is scheduled to be released March 17 and fans are anxious to catch any part of it they can. Cinemablend tells us, “The number of views on this trailer prove that it’s one of the most highly anticipated blockbusters of 2017.”
It also doesn’t hurt that fans can hear Emma Watson actually sing in the new trailer. The song is the reprise to the song Belle, where Belle laments that the provincial small town she lives in leaves her no chance to live the kind of life she wants. And it doesn’t disappoint.
For those who worried this remake would be too much of a departure from the 1991 hit, the song sounds wonderful, and although slightly different, it is enough like the animated original that those fans should be appeased.
Add to hearing Watson’s fabulous rendition of Belle’s song- the opportunity to catch a much-anticipated glimpse of what the movie will look like and even a glimpse of the Beast (Dan Stevens) himself is just too compelling.
And now the very latest is that Ariana Grande and John Legend will sing the title song, “Beauty and the Beast”. It doesn’t get much better than that!
