The Jan. 16, 2017 episode of The Bachelor with Nick Viall picks up where they left off last week, right after Nick sent Liz home and explained to the other women what happened. During this week’s episode, The Backstreet Boys delivered one of the date cards. Nick went on a one-on-one date with a woman on a Zero G plane. Seven of the bachelorettes had a group date during which they participated in a “Nickathon.” There’s always something happening on The Bachelor!

Brief Bachelor Recap Jan. 16, 2017:
This week opens with the Rose Ceremony which had to be postponed from last week because of the drama created after Liz told one of the other girls that she and Nick had a history together. Nick sent her home last week, before the Rose Ceremony, and then told the other women on the group date what had happened between him and Liz, shocking most of them. Nick is worried that some of them will decide to leave on their own. Although a few are really angry, no one else leaves before the Rose Ceremony.
During the Rose Ceremony which was postponed from the preceding week, he sends home three more women. You can see who went home at the end of this article. Now that the number of women has been reduced to 18, the personalities of the remaining women are becoming more evident.
After removing her top last week and being overly aggressive is seizing time with Nick, Corinne has emerged as the most hated woman on the show this season. During tonight’s show, she tells the other women about her nanny, who still takes care of her as an adult. This definitely makes the other women dislike her more. To top things off, before the rose ceremony she gets drunk, passes out in her bed and misses the ceremony. Since she had already won a rose earlier, it doesn’t matter, however. She’s with us for another week, at least.
This week, Vanessa and Nick go on an “out of this world” one-on-one date in a Zero-G plane at the Long Beach Airport. Although it is an exciting experience to float weightless in the plane, Vanessa becomes motion sick … not very romantic! Nick remains very caring and sweet, even kissing her after she vomits. Vanessa worries about the effect her nausea will have on Nick, but he gives her a rose anyway.
The Backstreet Boys show up to take some of the women on a group date. They were rumored to be joined by former cast members Becca and Ashley I; however, those ladies did not make an appearance on this segment. The women who are chosen to go on this date and become back-up dancers for the Backstreet Boys are Kristina, Jasmine, Whitney, Danielle L., Taylor, Corinne, and Christen. They all had fun, except Corinne who was very nervous. Danielle L. received the rose.
During the other group date, Alexis, Astrid, Rachel, Brittany, Dominique, Sarah, and Jaimi are given the opportunity to race in a “Nickathon” with coaching from former Olympians Carl Lewis, Allyson Felix, and Michelle Carter. Rachel won the date rose, but Astrid won some time alone in a hot tub with Nick. Donimique confronts Nick during the evening and complains that he is not giving her enough attention. Nick talks to her, but eventually send her home before the rose ceremony.
The next morning, Chris Harrison tells the girls that there will be a swim party before that day’s rose ceremony. Corinne is late and it turns out she has ordered a bounce house for the party. She and Nick spend some time bouncing together. After the bouncing around, things have changed. Vanessa, in particular, accuses Nick of not looking for a wife.
Once again, the rose ceremony was postponed. However, the list below contains the name of the two women rumored to be sent home at the rose ceremony after the swim party. If we are correct, we will be down to 15 women as next week’s dates begin.
