Brief Bachelor Recap Feb. 13, 2017

After eliminating six women last week, this week’s episode began with Nick telling the remaining six women he wasn’t sure the process would work for him this time, even though he has already been on The Bachelorette twice and Bachelor in Paradise once.  Then he walked out of the room, leaving the women to wonder if he had just left the show.  They were stunned and understandably upset.

Nick went to see Chris Harrison and had a heart-to-heart talk with him.  Afterwards, he pulled himself together and the whole group headed off to Bimini.

The first date in Bimini was a one-on-one date with Vanessa.  They spent a romantic day on a boat and went snorkeling, followed by a romantic dinner, during which Vanessa confesses to Nick that she is falling in love with him.

The second date was a group date shared by Corinne, Raven and Kristina.  They had an exciting time swimming with sharks.  Corinne was jealous all week, first because Vanessa got a one-on-one date, then because she felt that Nick was paying too much attention to Kristina. The date rose went to Raven, which meant she is guaranteed a hometown date next week.  Raven was also rewarded with a private evening with Nick, including a concert by Adam Friedman.

The third date this week was a one-on-one with Danielle M.  The two took a bike ride around the city.  At the end of the date, they have dinner together and Nick decides to send her home. She returns to the hotel for an emotional good-bye with the other women.

Corinne decides to sneak over to Nick’s hotel room and see her.  They have a few drinks and then she coaxes him to go into his bedroom, where there are no cameras, although their mics are still on.  However, when she tries to unzip his pants, he sends her back to her room, which upsets her.

The fourth and final date this week was Nick taking Rachel out for drinks at a local bar.  This date seemed much more “normal” than many dates on The Bachelor.  They simply chatted and enjoyed a relaxing evening together.

After this week’s dates were over, the women were getting ready for the rose ceremony, when Nick surprises them by showing up in their hotel room.  Only one additional woman had to go home, and Nick talked privately with Kristina and then had her leave.  Consequently, there was no rose ceremony.  The hometown dates next week will be with Corinne, Vanessa, Raven and Rachel.
