DWTS Announces Season 24 Cast

When “Dancing with the Stars” debuts season 24 on March 20; not only will fans see a brand new cast of Stars and two popular professional dancers return to the Ballroom, they will also see episode number 400!

Continuing the trend of Ballroom dancing to get in shape after giving birth Peta Murgatroyd returns to DWTS and she is bringing baby Shai’s daddy – Maksim Chmerkovskiy along.

As in seasons past, the new lineup on DWTS features Stars from the sporting, entertainment, and reality world…including a first – a new sport joins the cast.

Former bull rider turned fashion model Bonner Bolton will be pairing up with everyone’s favourite red headed dancer Sharna Burgess for some twirls around the dancefloor.

In the seventies this star made a name for herself by shaking her hips, calling out cuchi cuchi, and speaking what appeared to be unintelligible english. Born María del Rosario Mercedes Pilar Martínez Molina Baeza in Spain, she is known simply as Charo, she is paired up with Keo Motsepe. Charo is this season’s oldest celebrity dancer.

“Saturday Night Live” alum and “Jesse Thomas Walk of Fame” star Chris Kattan will pair up with DWTS champion Witney Carson.

In a DWTS first World Series champion baseball player David Ross becomes the first player to step off of the baseball diamond and on to the dance floor. He is partnered with Lindsay Arnold.

Dance club music and “Real Housewife of Beverly Hills” star Erika Jayne is pairing up with Gleb Savchenko for this season.

An actress and dancer, Heather Morris is best known for her role as Brittany Pierce on “Glee”. This season she will be paired up with first time daddy Maksim Chmerkovskiy as the pro returns to the Ballroom for another go at the Mirrorball.

Known for his lavish array of chains and jewelry and as a part of “The A-Team”, born Laurence Tureaud he is known simply at Mr. T. he is be paired up with the recently married Kym Herjavec – formerly Kym Johnson.

Former Olympic ice skater Nancy Kerrigan is follwing in the blades of Kristi Yamaguchi and swapping her ice skates for high heels when she pairs up with Artem Chigvintsev for season 24.

In her season of “The X Factor” the judges chose to pair her with four other females to form a new girl group that became known as Fifth Harmony. The five have since become four but Normani Kordei will be the first member of the group to be a part of DWTS when she partners up with the reigning Mirrorball champion Valentin Chmerkovksiy.

This season’s professional football player is Rashad Jennings who hopes to add some new dance moves to his touchdown dance when he pairs up with Emma Slater for this season of DWTS. Formerly dance was frowned upon by professional athletes but since stars like Emmitt Smith, Apolo Anton Ono, Helio Castroneves, and Heinz Ward have added a Mirrorball trophy to their collection, adding dancing agility to the list of skills is seen as an asset on the football field.

Following in the footsteps of her fellow Olympic gold gymnastics teammate Laurie Hernandez, Simone Biles joins the cast of DWTS. Simone hopes that she and partner Sasha Farber can duplicate Laurie’s success last season and bring home a Mirrorball of her own.
