OnMarch3 the Niagara Arts and Cultural Center -the NACC – held their annual fund raising event the Art of Beer. The After Party for that event was held at the Hard Rock Cafe in Niagara Falls with the rock and roll cover band Widow Maker providing the entertainment.
Some of the band members in Widow Maker – including the wild haired fun loving Michael Hund – are long time music veterans who have shared the stage and recording studios with the likes of Ted Nugent, Fireigner, Chicago, and Mr. Mister.
Performing music from the sixties up to today, Widow Maker sang the music of Fleetwood Mac, Boston, Loggins and Mesina, Four Non Blondes, Ted Nugent, Van Halen, The Rolling Stones, Heart, Elle King, Sir Rod Stewart, Guns ‘N’ Roses, and Journey. With all of the band members taking turns performing songs, the band’s set list included “Rhiannon”, “Love the One You’re With”, “I Don’t Wanna Lose Your Love”, “Exes and Ohs”, “Maggie May”, “Sweet Child of Mine”, “Baracuda”, “Stranglehold”, “Symphony for the Devil, “What’s Up”, “Rock-n-Roll Band”, and “Don’t Stop Believing”.
Widow Maker finished off the night of fun and music with a couple of special guest performances from the Hard Rock Cafe’s own Naomi on drums for a little Journey and “Don’t Stop Believing” and some Van Halen with DoDriver lead singer and the Hard Rock’s Jody.
Widow Maker guitar player and Buffalo Music Hall of Famer Michael Hund spread his love of fun and music far beyond the stage and engaging the audience members at every turn.
