NASCAR: Service King 300

In the final race of the west coast swing the Xfinity Series moves to Fontana, California at the Auto Club Speedway for the Service King 300.

The drivers will make 150 trips around the two mile track that features wide sweeping turns.

After two rounds of single car qualifying early Saturday morning Joey Logano won the pole and will bring the field to the green flag.

Stages one and two of the race are 35 laps each with stage three being 80 laps.

Monster Energy Cup Series driver Brad Keselowski joins Adam Alexander and Michael Waltrip in the broadcast booth for today’s race.

Three of the drivers in the top six of the starting grid are rookies and have never run on the track before.

Joey Logano brings the field down for the green flag start of he race and pulls out in front of the field as the drivers get spread out three and four behind him.

Five laps into the race and Joey Logano has pulled out to a lead of a second and a half on second place driver Daniel Hemric.

Lap nine Joey Logano has increased his lead to over two seconds.

On lap 16 Joey Logano’s lead has increased to over two and a half seconds over Daniel Hemric; there are 36 cars on the lead lap.

On lap 20 Logano’s lead is now over three and a half seconds over second place driver Daniel Hemric. Jordan Anderson is out of the race.

Lap 25 Joey Logano has pulled out to a lead over four seconds over second place driver Kyle Busch.

With seven laps remaining in stage one, Kyle Busch has closed the gap to Joey Logano to just over three seconds.

Matt Tifft brings out the first caution flag of the race on lap 29 when he got lose and spins out.

Once pit road opens the drivers bring their cars down pit road for fresh tires, fuel, and adjustments.

Kyle Busch brings the field to the green flag restart with only one lap remaining in the stage.

Kyle Busch wins stage one but does not earn any points since he is a Monster Energy Cup Series regular.

Kyle Busch brings the field down for the green restart of stage two on lap 42. Kyle Larson came from third to take the lead of the race. Stephen Leicht is off the track.

After getting caught for speeding on pit road and restarting in 35th, on lap 44 Joey Logano has moved back into the top 10.

Kyle Busch retakes the lead with 22 laps remaining in stage two.

Lap 55 Kyle Busch continues to lead the race with a lead of just over a second. Joey Logano has moved in to the second spot.

Lap 60 Kyle Busch has pulled out to a lead of nearly two seconds on second place driver Joey Logano.

With eight laps to go in stage two, there are 32 cars on the lead lap with two drivers off of the track.

Leader Kyle Busch has been lapping cars and there are now 27 cars on the lead lap with only two laps remaining in stage two.

There’s a tire rolling down pit road. Reports are that the tire is from Daniel Hemric’s team.

Kyle Larson was caught speeding on pit road. Paul Menard was penalized for having too many men over the pit road wall.

Kyle Busch brings the field down for the green flag restart of stage three on lap 78 and ins immediately challenged by Joey Logano. The duo – who have had on track issues in the Monster Energy Cup Series – swap the lead with Logano taking the lead of the race. The cars spread out four wide across the wide track.

After big leads all race long, Joey Logano has a lead of less than half a second on Kyle Busch.

Ross Chastain brings out the fourth caution flag of the day after cutting a tire on lap 82.

Joey Logano brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 88but Kyle Busch challenges Logano for the lead with Kyle Busch taking the lead of the race.

On lap 90 Joey Logano challenges Kyle Busch for the lead with the two swapping back and forth with Joey Logano getting out in front.

The fifth caution flag of the race comes out on lap 94 when Paul Menard makes contact with Erik Jones, hits the wall and catches fire. Menard is safely out of the car.

Although they cannot make it on fuel the rest of the race, drivers come down pit road for service.

Kyle Busch wins the race off of pit road. Joey Logano’s team has trouble on pit road when the car fell off of the jack. He will restart the race in 26th position.

Kyle Busch brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 104 but William Byron takes over the lead of the race but has the lead taken away by Kyle Larson.

Joey Logano has already moved back into the top 10.

The sixth caution flag comes out on lap 106 when Cole Custer hits the wall head on and has flames coming out the back of the car. Custer made contact with Ryan Sieg before hitting the wall.

Kyle Busch brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 114 and pulls out in front after a push from Joey Logano.

Joey Logano challenges Kyle Busch for the lead on lap 115 but Busch holds on to the lead with the cars three and four wide behind him.

Lap 117 Logano again challenges Busch for the lead and this time edges out Kyle Busch for the lead.

Lap 119 Joey Logano has pulled out to a lead of half a second on Kyle Busch.

Lap 125 Joey Logano has a lead of over half a second over second place driver Kyle Larson. Kyle Busch brushed the wall and is now in fifth place.

Lap 130 Joey Logano’s lead is down to less than a quarter of a second over Kyle Larson.

With 17 laps remaining in the race, Kyle Larson has caught and is challenging Joey Logano for the lead but Logano holds Larson off for now.

Twelve laps to go and Kyle Larson has caught up with lead Joey Logano and challenges for the lead. This time around Kyle Larson takes over the lead of the race. But Logano comes back to challenge for the lead, but Larson holds on to the lead…at least for now.

The seventh caution flag comes out with only nine laps remaining in the race when Brandon Jones wrecks.

With only four laps remaining in the race, Kyle Larson brings the field down for the green flag restart and takes the lead of the race. As the cars get spread out across the track Kyle Larson pulls away as Joey Logano and Kyle Busch vie for position.

Kyle Larson wins the Service King 300. After winning the first two stages, Kyle Busch finishes in third place.
