Grey’s Anatomy Season 13, Episode 20 “In the Air Tonight” airs on Thursday April 13, 2017. It will involve a plane and a disaster, although not necessarily a plane crash. This is a chance for Meredith and Riggs to bond and face their feelings.
As the name would suggest, sneak peeks give some spoilers for the upcoming episode. If you just want to know what the episode will be about, you can check out the Grey’s Anatomy Season 13, Episode 20 trailer.
There are now two sneak peeks for Grey’s Anatomy this week. Both are on the plane, suggesting that the whole episode will take place here. This certainly one be the first time this season that the show focuses on a smaller cast, allowing for more developed storylines in a shorter period. This episode will allow Meredith and Riggs face their feelings, as they are sat near each other on the plane.
In the first of two sneak peeks released by ABC, Meredith and Riggs discuss their discomfort over flying. It turns out that Riggs has also been involved in a plane crash, although not quite to the same level of Meredith’s from the Grey’s Anatomy Season 8 finale. Certainly nobody lost a limb or died. Maybe Riggs should have gone first with the storytelling.
However, this is a chance for the two to bond over a similarity. Is it a sign of more similarities to come?
In the second sneak peek, released today, Meredith is going to the bathroom, only for Riggs to jump in too. Riggs got a couple of mixed messages from Meredith, believing that she wanted to talk in private. When she makes it clear again that they need to stop their relationship before it even gets started, Riggs tells her that she needs to get out of the way so he can leave. Meredith doesn’t, and she doesn’t quite know why she isn’t letting him leave.
This is clearly a sign that Meredith has mixed feelings about Riggs. She wants to be with him, but knows that there are people depending on her.
Grey’s Anatomy Season 13, Episode 20 airs tonight at 8pm on ABC.
