The 100 Season 4 has already had a long break. Will the CW return with a new episode tonight, April 19 2017? Unfortunately not, but here are all the details that you need.
The CW decided to take a month off from new episodes of The 100 Season 4. With a short season, it had to work carefully to make sure there wasn’t a long break between the Season 3 finale and Season 4 premiere for fans, but also wanted to finish off the season in May (the usual time for shows to wrap up for the year).
Neilsen TV ratings are collected in May, helping TV shows decide whether to renew shows for another year. This is also a time for the CW to decide when to set premiere dates for the next seasons, which is important since The 100 Season 5 is already confirmed, along with numerous other CW shows.
The 100 Season 4 will return with an all-new episode on April 26, 2017. Episode 9 “DNR” will focus on Clarke attempting to keep the peace in her camp. Jaha has possibly found a new bunker for everyone to stay and wait out the upcoming radiation, and every wants to survive. Octavia will also fight for the survival of her people, despite not everyone playing fairly, according to Den of Geek.
So far, this season has been fast-paced. Each episode has moved the storyline forward, as the nuclear reactors break down and threaten the survival of everyone. Only the nightbloods will survive, and there is currently just one known nightblood left. Clarke makes a point in the trailer to say there are just six days left until the radiation reaches them, and Jasper doesn’t view being trapped underground as a way to live. In fact, there are a few on his side and choosing to die (but live before doing it).
There are just four episodes left after Episode 9. The 100 Season 4 will continue for five weeks straight from the next week, finishing up on May 24, 2017 for the season.
