This week on “The Voice” the top 10 artists perform for fan votes. With Mother’s Day coming up, the artists brought their mothers to rehearsals this week with some of the artists dedicating their performances to their mothers.
It’s a big week for the top 10 because on Tuesday’s results show two singers will be eliminated as “The Voice” prepares for the semi-finals.
Getting the night of music started off was team Adam’s Jesse Larson who gave a rousing rendition of “Jungle Love” that had Adam and Alicia rocking out in their chairs. Host Carson Daly said, “dude, awesome way to get it kicked off.” Blake said that it got so good he was watchig to see what Alicia was going to do; adding that the performance was really good. Saying that it was all about the energy and attitude, Alicia called the performance incredible to see and great. Coach Adam asked Jesse if he could feel what just happened in the room. A blown away Adam said that he made a mistake in calling Jesse a pop star because Jesse is a superstar.
Team Blake’s Aliyah Mouldon gave a very emotional performance of “Jealous”. Dedicating the song to her deceased father, the performance left her in tears. At the end of the performance Carson gave her a hug and told her that she is awesome; adding that she did an excellent job. Gwen said that Aliyah was really smart and did a beautiful job. A very proud Coach Blake said that Aliyah did what she needed to do and sang her heart out and got lost in the moment.
Team Alicia’s Vanessa Ferguson performed the Lauren Hill song “Doo Wop (That Thing)” that had Alicia yelling yeah. Carson called the performance crazy and incredible. Adam said that Vanessa did an amazing job; adding that she should think about rapping more. After telling Vanessa that she looked stunning, Coach Alicia said that Vanessa is everything and has no limits.

Gwen said that she was going to download the song. Calling it an interesting choice, Gwen noted that the song showed a different side of Mark. Coach Adam noted that the song choice was Mark’s idea; adding that Mark impresses and surprises him each week.
Coach Blake Shelton performed “Every Time I Hear that Song”.
Team Alicia’s Chris Blue chose a current chart topper with “24K Magic” by Bruno Mars. Chris noted that this week he wanted to have some fun. Alicia loved how Likki interpreted the song; adding that it was beautiful to see her perform such a beautiful classic. Coac Adam said that it was listening on a different level.
Team Blake’s Lauren Duski performed The Judds song “Tell Me Why” and got a message from Wynona. Carson said that she did a nice job. Gwen called Lauren a living Country Barbie doll; adding that the song was perfect for her and she loved it. Blake called Lauren the missing link in Country music right now.
Team Gwen’s Hunter Plake sang the Steve Winwood hit “Higher Love” and dedicated it to his mom. Adam noted that the performance didn’t feel forced; adding that it was a great song and did a great job with it. Gwen noted that Hunter is so comfortable on the stage. The final performance of the night came from 15 year old Brennley Brown with “Anyway” for her mom. Carson noted that you would never know by the way she commands the stage, but Brennley is the youngest contestant on the show; adding she did excellent work. Blake said that Brennley has definitely made a believer out of him; adding that she is inspirational for many young people out there and her voice has never shined brighter.
