NASCAR Trucks Return at Kansas

It has been six weeks since the Camping World Truck Series trucks have been on the race track for only the fourth race of the season. They return this week for some Friday night racing at Kansas Speedway for the Toyota Tundra 250.

There are 15 of the 32 truck drivers that have never raced in Kansas before.

After qualifying on Friday afternoon, Christopher Bell will sit on the pole and bring the field to the green flag.

The drivers will make 167 laps around the mile and a half track. Stages one and two of race will last 40 laps with stage three lasting 87 laps.

A night time race, the drivers will begin under the sun but finish the race under the lights.

Polesitter Christopher Bell leads the field to the green flag from the outside and initially takes the lead but gets passed by Matt Crafton. Before the lap is complete Christopher Bell takes over the lead of the race.

By lap three, Christopher Bell has a half second lead.

The first caution flag of the race comes out on lap six when Wendell Chavous hits the wall after cutting a tire.

During the caution Timothy Peters was on pit road with the hood up for service.

Again choosing to start from the outside lane, Christopher Bell brings the field down to the green flag restart on lap eleven and takes the lead of the race.

The second caution flag of the race comes out on lap 12 when Grant Enfinger spins out after making contact with Chase Briscoe.

Choosing to start from the inside, Christopher Bell leads the field down for the green flag restart on lap 15 and takes the lead of the race.

The third caution flag of the race comes out when Stewart Friesen and gets loose, spining out and then makes contact with Jordan Anderson.

Christopher Bell brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 21 but gets a challenge form Kyle Busch. Bell holds on to the lead of the race. Thre are 27 trucks on the lead lap.

On lap 23 Kyle Busch drops down low on the apron and passes Christopher Bell for the lead.

The fourth caution falg comes out on lap 23 when Wendell Chavous again has issues with his truck hitting the wall.

When pit road opens, some of the drivers take advantage and come down pit road for service.

Kyle Busch brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 40 and takes the lead of the race.

The fifth caution flag comes out on lap 40 when Travis Miller has some issues with his truck.

Kyle Busch brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 44 and takes over the lead of the race.

Cody Coughlin is reporting gear issues.

Kyle Busch wins stage one but cannot earn any bonus points as a Monster Energy Cup Series regular.

Kyle Busch is the only driver in the top 10 who was not eligible to earn bonus points.

Christopher Bell wins the race off of pit road.

Austin Wayne Self is penalized for having a pit crew member come over the wall too soon.

After staying out, Grant Enfinger brings the field down for the green flag start of stage two on lap 48 and takes the lead of the race.

Lap 51 Grant Enfinger has a lead of just over a quarter of a second on second place driver Brett Moffitt.

Camden Murphy is out of the race.

The caution flag comes out on lap 54 for debris on the track when Noah Gragson loses a tire.

Timothy Peters brings his truck down pit road for adjustments that puts a crewman under the truck.

Grant Enfinger brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 57 and takes the initial lead of the race but is challenged by Christopher Bell and eventually takes over the lead of the race.

Lap 65 Christopher Bell leads the race by less than a quarter of a second over second place driver Kyle Busch.

Ten laps remaining in stage two and Kyle Busch has taken over the lead of the race with 22 trucks on the lead lap.

With four laps remaining in the stage, Kyle Busch has a lead of over a second on Christopher Bell with only 19 trucks on the lead lap and four trucks out of the race.

Kyle Busch wins the race off of pit road.

Kyle Busch brings the field down for the green flag start of stage three on lap 87 and gets challenged by Ben Rhodes who takes over the lead when the ninth caution flag of the race comes out when Travis Miller spins out.

Ben Rhodes brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 91 but Kyle Busch takes over the lead of the race.

With 75 laps remaining in the race Kyle Busch and Ben Rhodes swap the lead back and forth several times before Kyle Busch takes over the lead with 72 laps remaining in the race.

Lap 96 Kyle Busch continues to lead the race with 21 trucks on the lead lap.

With 67 laps remaining in the race, Kyle Busch has a lead of nearly a second on second place driver Ben Rhodes.

Lap 110 Kyle Busch continues his dominance of the race with a lead of over a second on Ben Rhodes with 19 trucks on the lead lap.

Fifty to go and Kyle Busch has a lead of over a second on Ben Rhodes with 17 trucks on the lead lap.

With 43 laps remaining in the race, Christopher Bell begins the cycle of green flag pit stops.

Ross Chastain brings out the tenth caution flag of the race on lap 126 with a cut tire and gets into the wall.

Kyle Busch brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 131 and gets out in front of the field for the lead with Ben Rhodes in second place. There are 16 trucks on the lead lap.

Matt Crafton brings out the eleventh caution flag of the race when he spins out and runs through the grass.

Kyle Busch brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 138 and gets a challenge from Ben Rhodes. The two swap the lead back and forth for a few laps before Ben Rhodes finally takes over the lead with 26 laps remaining in the race.

Twenty laps to go and Ben Rhodes holds on to the lead of the race by nearly a second with 17 trucks on the lead lap.

Only 10 laps remaining in the race and Ben Rhodes holds on to the lead of the race with over a second lead on Kyle Busch.

Matt Crafton makes an unscheduled pit stop with a soft tire.

Ben Rhodes blows an engine with only eight laps remainng in the race. Kyle Busch is the leader of the race. Rhodes brings the truck down pit road and to the garage; the track stays green.

Five to go and Kyle Busch has a lead of over four seconds on second place driver Johnny Sauter.

Kyle Busch takes the white flag.
