The scenic Discover Niagara Shuttle returns for a second year with two buses and two trolleys running approximately every 30 minutes. The free shuttle service will run seven days a week beginning Memorial Day weekend; prior to that the shuttles run only on the weekends.
While the complete trio is a 14 mile journey of living history, art, and culture; visitors are invited to get on and off at their leisure to explore jut some of what the Niagara region has to offer.
Along with stops near Niagara Falls and the Niagara Falls State Park, the Discovery Shuttle makes stops on Third Street in the entertainment district, the Niagara Arts and Cultural Center, Oakwood Cemetery where visitors can find the grave sites of notorious daredevils and other Niagara Falls luminaries, the Aquarium of Niagara, the Niagara Gorge Discovery center, the Niagara Falls Train Station where there is also an interpretive exhibit on the Underground Railroad, Whirlpool State Park, the Castallani Art Museum on th ecampus of Niagara University, the New York Power Authority Power Vista, the city centers of Lewiston and Youngstown, the Lewiston water landing with access to fishing and the Jet boat ride, and Old Fort Niagara.
With the hop on hop off format, visitors are free to explore the area with no worry of a car or parking. And visitors are welcome to ride the Discover Niagara Shuttle and simply admire the beautiful scenery.
