Brief Bachelorette Recap June 5, 2017:

Rachel  is a bright and beautiful Dallas attorney.  This week she started out with 22 men, after sending DeMario home last week, even though he did not accept her decision peacefully and showed up at the bachelor mansion to plead his case for another chance. However, she told him she needs a man, not a boy.  She needs someone who will not lie when confronted with a difficult situation.

After dealing with DeMario, she sent three men additional men home during the rose ceremony from last week and she sent another man home during one of the dates.  See their names further in this article.  Two of the men, Blake and Lucas, argued loudly on their way out.

The first date this week began with a taping of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” with six of the men, Bryan, Jonathan, Peter, Alex, Will and Fred.  Ellen had the men perform a bit of a strip show for the audience.  The proceeds of the event went to charity.  Afterwards, Ellen had them play the embarrassing game “Never Have I Ever.”  Once they shared their secrets on the show, the men left with Rachel to attend an after-party.  Rachel sent one of the men home and Alex received the group date rose.

The one-on-one date this week is a horseback ride down Rodeo Drive, where the Anthony and Rachel went shopping for cowboy gear in the luxury stores.  Rodeo Drive is in the middle of Los Angeles, on the edge of Beverly Hills, not an area where patrons are accustomed to seeing shoppers on horseback!  They rode the horses right into a couple of the stores, although one of the horses left a “deposit” behind which, I presume, a crew member had to clean up. After the shopping spree, the two of them went to a wonderful spot “on top of the world” where they enjoyed dinner and live jazz music.  He was very serious, but Rachel worked to get him to show her his fun side.  Anthony told Rachel how he grew up in a loving home and had a wonderful father. By the end of this unusual date, Anthony received the date rose.

On the last date of the week, four of Rachel’s friends from Nick’s season showed up to help.  The women were Alexis, Corinne, Jasmine and Raven.  They arranged a mud wrestling competition for some of the bachelors at the Cowboy Palace Saloon.  The men chosen for this date were Brady, Dean, Adam, Kenny, Bryce, Lee, Jack, Eric.

On this group date, the men mud wrestled in front of a noisy crowd of women and Bryce won the champion’s belt, which meant he had to beat Kenny, the professional wrestler.   Later than evening, around a campfire, Rachel gave the date rose to Eric, even though her girlfriends had earlier expressed some concern about him.

By the end of the evening, however, there was tension between Eric and Lee.  Eric was the one who all the guys were upset about.   New drama ahead.
