2017 CMT Music Awards

ON Wednesday June 7 Country Music Television celebrated their Music Awards show.

The music world recently lost the patriarch of The Allman Brothers Band when Gregg Allman died at age 69. The CMT Music Awards opened the show with an All Star tribute to Allman that included Darius Rucker, Derek Trucks, members of Lady Antebellum, and Jason Aldean performing “Midnight Rider”.

“Nashville” star Charles Esten hosted the musical event broadcast live from Music City – Nashville.

The first award of the night for Group Video of the Year in the fan voted event went to Little Big Town for “Better Man”.

Outside the Brothers Osborne and Peter Framton pair up for a performance of “It Ain’t My Fault”.

Country music newcomer John Pardi performed “Dirt on My Boots”.

Miranda Lambert performed “Pink Sunglasses”.

The award for CMT Performance of the Year went to Luke Bryan and Jason Derulo for “Want to Want Me” from CMT Crossroads.

Thomas Rhett performed “Craving You”.

Reba McEntire presents the award for Breakthrough Video of the Year to “American Idol” alum Lauren Alaina for “Road Less Traveled”.

Chris Lane performed “Fix”.

Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood performed their hit “The Fighter”.

Back outside Florida George Line and The Chainsmokers performed “Last day Alive”.

“The Voice” coach Blake Shelton performed “Every Time I Hear that Song”.

The award for Collaborative Video of the Year to Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban for “The Fighter”.

Brett Young performed “In Case You Didn’t Know”.

The award for Best Male Video of the Year went to Keith Urban for “Blue Aint’ Your Color”.

Brett Eldridge performed “Somethin’ I’m Good At”.

Lauren Alaina performed her award winning song “Road Less Traveled”.

The award for Duo Video of the Year went to Florida Georgia Line for “H.O.L.Y.”

Award winners Little Big Town performed “When Someone Stops Loving You”.

Blake Shelton presents the award for CMT Social Superstar of the Year to Keith Urban.

Luke Bryan and Jason Derulo performed “Strip it Down” and their award winning song “Want to Want Me”.

Midland performed “Drinkin Problem”.

The award for Female Video of the Year went to Carrie Undderwood for “Church Bells”.

Outside Kelsea Ballerini gives the television debut of her new song “Legends”.

Kid Rock presents the award for Video of the Year to Keith Urban for “Blue Ain’t Your Color”.

Closing out the night were Lady Antebellum and Earth Wind and Fire join forces for a performance of a medley of “You Look Good” and “September”.
