Brief Bachelorette Recap June 27, 2017:
Rachel, a lovely and charming Dallas attorney, has set aside her career for a few months to meet a potential husband. She and the remaining men began this episode in Oslo, Norway, continuing the adventures which began on the last episode. Iggy, Jack and Jonathan were sent home on the last episode, so this one opened with only twelve men … with either Kenny or Lee on the verge of being sent home. Will and Bryan had already been given roses since the last rose ceremony, so they were secure for another week.
At the beginning of this episode, Rachel was still on the two-on-one date with Kenny and Lee. After hearing both their stories, she decided she did not trust Lee, so she sent him home. However, she wasn’t sure what she wanted to do about Kenny. They got to the helicopter and Kenny told Rachel he wanted to say goodbye to Lee, which annoyed Rachel. Finally, however, they took off. When the other men saw Lee’s luggage taken away, they were glad that it was Lee being sent home. On the other hand, the two-on-one date was hard on Rachel and she still had not decided if she wanted Kenny as a husband, even though she really liked him. She eventually decided that she does trust him and loves the way he cares about his daughter. She gave Kenny the date rose. After their date, Kenny went home and called his daughter. He cried and she told him it was okay. They both missed each other.
Next they had the rose ceremony. There were eight men without roses, but only six roses. See below the full list of who was sent home and who got roses during this episode.
Rachel and the remaining nine men left Oslo and headed to Copenhagen, Denmark, where they stayed at the Marienlyst Beach Hotel. They had a view of the castle that inspired Shakespeare to write his play Hamlet.
Eric got the first one-on-one date in Copenhagen. Rachel arrived by boat and the two of them went off to explore the city. In the middle of the city there were open hot tubs, and the two of them joined some other people in one of them. They had a great time. Then they went to the Tivoli amusement park. At dinner, Eric talked about his past and Rachel gave Eric the date rose.
The group date was a Viking adventure in Roskilde, Denmark with Dean, Kenny, Bryan, Alex, Matt, Peter and Adam. They dressed up as Vikings, rowed a Viking ship, and played some Viking games. Kenny and Adam were in the last competition, fighting with shields and swords. Both ended up with a little blood on their faces, but Kenny won the battle.
During the after party, Bryan immediately took Rachel out of the room and kissed her. Kenny stressed that he would like more time with Rachel and she spent a little time talking with each of the men. Kenny even told Rachel about his fears. He told her he didn’t know what was lacking, but something wasn’t working. Rachel also admitted she had concerns and felt she shouldn’t keep him if she wasn’t sure. After their conversation, she decided to send him home and walked him to the car. Once he was in the car, Kenny called his daughter to tell her he was coming home. He was very complimentary of Rachel and said he hoped his daughter grows up to be a woman like Rachel. Rachel gave the date rose to Peter.
Finally, she had a one-on-one date with Will in Helsingborg, Sweden. They enjoyed the architecture, a street performer and played a Viking game. Will was happy to relax, but Rachel was concerned that he did not hold her hand and didn’t seem very romantic. That evening, they went back to Copenhagen. He thought it was an incredible date, but she did not think it was very romantic. She asked him about the lack of romance and he admitted he was a little scared and nervous. In the end, she decided not to give him the rose.
At the end of the episode, she had four roses to hand out, in addition to the roses she had already given Eric and Peter. See who else went home below. She cried as the last man drove away in a car.
By the end of this episode, Rachel had sent six men home and kept six men.
