Throwback Finish for Throwback Weekend in Darlington

The Xfinity Series kicks off a triple header weekend with the Sport Clips Haircuts VFW 200 from Darlington Raceway.

A throwback weekend, many of the drivers pay tribute to some of the NASCAR greats with throwback paint schemes.

After three rounds of qualifying, Monster Energy Cup Series regular Denny Hamlin sits on the pole and will bring the field down for the green flag.

Stages one and two are 45 laps each with stage three leasing 57 laps

Denny Hamlin brings the field down for the green flag but before the end of the first lap Matt Tifft brings out the first caution flag when he makes contact with Ross Chastain, spins out, and hits the inside wall.

Deny Hamlin brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap six and gets out in front of the field.

The number three car riven by Ty Dillon brings out the second caution flag of the race on lap 10 when he gets loose and spins out.

Denny Hamlin brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 13 and takes over the lead with Kevin Harvick in second.

Lap 17 Denny Hamlin holds on to the lead of the race with Kevin Harvick in second and Elliott Sadler in third.

On lap 22 Denny Hamlin continues to lead the race. After restarting the race in 37th place, Ty Dillon has moved up to 17th place on fresh tires.

Lap 23 Jeremy Clements brought his car down pit road when he said that something didn’t feel right. He had a punctured tire.

Lap 28 Denny Hamlin continues to lead the race, followed by Kevin Harvick and Elliott Sadler.

Lap 31 Kevin Harvick passes Denny Hamlin to take over the lead of the race with 34 cars on the lead lap.

The third caution flag comes out when Ray Black Jr spins out but does not hit anything.

Kevin Harvick brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 36 and pulls out in front of the field. Ty Dillon has moved into the top 10.

Lap 40 Kevin Harvick is still out in front of the field with Elliott Sadler in second and Denny Hamlin in third.

Joey Logano brings the field down for the green flag start of stage two on lap 52 an after a side by side battle, Logano pulls out in front for the lead of the race.

Lap 56 the top three are Joey Logano, Elliott Sadler, and Kevin Harvick.

Lap 62 Joey Logano continues to lead the race with Elliott Sadler less than a half a second behind.

Dylan Lupton brings out the caution flag on lap 71 when he spins out with a flat tire.

Joey Logano brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 76 with Kevin Harvick taking the lead of the race.

Lap 83 the top three are Kevin Harvick with a lead of over two seconds on Joey Logano and Denny Hamlin in third. There are 29 cars on the lead lap.

Kevin Harvick wins stage two with a lead of over four seconds.

William Byron made a second trip down pit road with loose lug nuts.

Joey Logano brings the field down for the green flag start of stage three on lap 97 and holds on to the lead of the race with Kevin Harvick in second.

Spencer Gallagher brings out the caution flag on lap 100 when he gets bumped from behind and spins out.

Joey Logano brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 103 and battle with Kevin Harvick for the lead but Joey Logano holds on to the lead of the race. There are 31 cars on the lead lap.

With 37 laps remaining in the race the top three are Monster Energy Cup Series regulars Joey Logano, Kevin Harvick, and Denny Hamlin.

Lap 116 Joey Logano continues to lead the race with Kevin Harvick on his bumper. Denny Hamlin is in third place.

Lap 117 Kevin Harvick passes Joey Logano for the lead of the race. Harvick has never won an Xfinity Series race at Darlington Raceway.

Xfinity Series regular Elliott Sadler has stated that he is donating his race winnings to the Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.

With 20 laps remaining in the race the top three are Kevin Harvick, Denny Hamlin, and Joey Logano.

With 16 laps remaining in the race Kevin Harvick has a lead of over a second on Denny Hamlin.

Twelve laps to go and Kevin Harvick has a lead of less than a second on Denny Hamlin.

Only eleven laps remaining in the race and Dakoda Armstrong brings out the caution flag when he spins out.

Joey Logano wins the race off of pit road.

Taking the outside lane, Joey Logano brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 141 with Logano taking the lead. Denny Hamlin takes it three wide to get second place.

Elliott Sadler brings out the caution flag when he hits the wall after making contact with Erik Jones. On the radio, Sadler admits the incident was his fault.

Denny Hamlin takes the white flag.

Joey Logano challenges Hamlin for the lead and takes it briefly but Denny Hamlin holds on to the lead to win the race.
