Impressive Long Runs and Burnout Mark Richmond Xfinity Race

The Xfinity Series travels to Richmond, Virginia for a little Friday night racing with the Virginia 529 College Savings 250.

After three rounds of qualifying earlier in the day, Kyle Busch sits on the pole and will bring the field to green.

Stages one and two of the race are 75 laps each with stage three lasting 100 laps for a total of 250 laps around the three quarter mile track.

Kyle Busch brings the field down for the green flag and jumps out in front of the field for the lead.

Lap five the top three drivers are Monster Energy Cup Series regulars – Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski, and Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Lap 10 Kyle Busch has led every lap so far.

Lap 15 Kyle Busch continues to lead and has a two second lead over Brad Keselowski.

Lap 20 the top three remains Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Brennan Poole in fourth is the first Xfinity Series regular.

Lap 30 Kyle Busch has a second and a half lead on Brad Keselowski with Dale Earnhardt Jr in third.

Lap 38 the top three remain Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski, and Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Lap 46 Brad Keselowski has finally caught leader Kyle Busch and is challenging for the lead. On lap 47 Keselowski passes Kyle Busch to take over the lead of the race.

Lap 51 the top three are Brad Keselowski, Kyle Busch, and Dale Earnhardt Jr.

The first caution flag of the race comes out on lap 53 when Bobby Earnhardt hits the wall after having a flat tire. Bobby is the grandson of Dale Earnhardt Sr and a fourth generation NASCAR driver.

Daniel Hemric was charged with a commitment cone violation.

Brad Keselowski brings the field down for the green flag restart on lap 60 with Kyle Busch jumping out in front for the lead of the race.

On fresh tires, Ty Dillon is charging through the field, passing several cars on each lap. In three laps he has moved into third place.

Ty Dillon has taken over the lead of the race; followed by Christopher Bell and Brendan Gaughan.

On lap 68 Christopher Bell challenges Ty Dillon for the lead. There are 19 cars on the lead lap.

After having to restart the race at the back of the field for a commitment cone violation, Daniel Hemric is in fourth place.

Brandon Jones spins out and brings out the second caution flag of the race.

Ty Dillon wins stage one under yellow flag conditions.

Daniel Hemric won the race off of pit road.

After staying out on the track, Brendan Gaughan brings the field down for the green flag start of stage two on lap 86 but Daniel Hemric jumps out in front of the field for the lead of the race.

Lap 91 the top three are Daniel Hemric, Ty Dillon, and Brad Keselowski.

Lap 95 Daniel Hemric holds on to the lead of the race with Kyle Busch in second and Brad Keselowski in third. There are 20 cars on the lead lap.

Lap 98 Kyle Busch challenges Daniel Hemric and passes on the outside line to take over the lead of the race.

Lap 101 Kyle Busch is in the lead with Brad Keselowski in second and Daniel Hemric in third.

Lap 110 Kyle Busch holds on to the lead with Brad Keselowski in second and Daniel Hemric in third.

Lap 120 the top three continues to be Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski, and Daniel Hemric.

Lap 132 the top three remains the same – Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski, and Daniel Hemric.

Lap 137, leaders Kyle Busch and Brad Keselowski are reporting that their cars are tight.

Lap 142 Kyle Busch continues to lead the race, but Brad Keselowski is slowly creeping closer to the leader.

With three laps remaining in the stage, Brad Keselowski challenges Kyle Busch for the lead of the race and on the final lap of the stage Keselowski edges out Busch to win the stage.

Lap 173 Brad Keselowski challenges Kyle Busch for the lead and passes Busch for the lead. But one lap later Kyle Busch retakes the lead .

Lap 181 Kyle Busch holds on to the lead with Brad Keselowski right behind him.

Lap 189 the top three are Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski, and Ty Dillon.

Lap 200 the top fiver are Kyle Busch, Brad Keselowski, Ty Dillon, Elliott Sadler, and Justin Allgaier.

Lap 208, Kyle Busch has a one second lead on Brad Keselowski.

With 36 laps remaining in the race Kyle Busch holds on to the lead as he approaches lapped traffic. Brad Keselowski is about a second behind.

Twenty seven laps to go and Kyle Busch holds on to the lead of the race.

With 24 laps to go, Brad Keselowski has closed the gap to Kyle Busch to just half a second.

With 17 laps remaining in the race, Brad Keselowski has caught Kyle Busch and is challenging for the lead among lapped traffic. Keselowski passes Busch to take over the lead of the race.

Ten to go and Brad Keselowski leads the race. There are only nine cars on the lead lap.
