On October 5 the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame revealed the nominees for the 2018 class of Rock Hall inductees. This year there are 19 artists who are eligible for induction.

Again this year rock and roll fans can cast their votes for which artists they would like to see become a part of the Rock Hall. Fans may cast their votes at rockhall.com/vote. Voting is open from now to December 5.
An artist becomes eligible for induction into the Hall of Fame 25 years after the release of their debut recording.
This year nine of the artists nominated are on the list for the first time.
The list of this year’s nominees are:
Kate Bush – first time nominee
Dire Straits – first time nominee
Eurythmics – first time nominee
J. Geils Band
Judas Priest – first time nominee
LL Cool J
The Moody Blues – first time nominee
Radiohead – first time nominee – first year of eligibility
Rage Against the Machine – first time nominee – first year of eligibility
Rufus featuring Chaka Khan
Nina Simone – first time nominee
Sister Rosetta Tharpe – first time nominee
The J. Geils Band tops the list in nominations with five. First eligible in 1995, they were first nominated in 2005 and again in 2006, 2011, 2017, and 2018.
The selected inductees will be announced in December and inducted with a gala event April 14 in Cleveland.
