(Holographic) Roy Orbison to Tour

Sixties rock idol Roy Orbison died in 1988 at the age of 52 as a result of a heart attack, but thanks to modern technology Orbison lives again to perform.

Thanks to Base Entertainment and Danny Betesh Orbison will be making a tour of the UK next April…as a hologram. Titled “Roy Orbison In Dreams: The Hologram UK Tour” Orbison’s hologram will be performing with the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra is some smaller venues around the island nation.

The RPCO is releasing an album of Orbison’s music called “A Love So Beautiful: Roy Orbison & the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra”.

The project has the support of Orbison’s family. Son Alex called the collaboration, “a dream set up.”

The tour will begin in the United Kingdom but is expected to expand around the globe.

April 9 at the Genting Arena in Birmingham
April 11 at the O2 Apollo in Manchester
April 12 at the Playhouse in Edinburgh
April 13 at the SEC Armadillo in Glasgow
Arpil 14 at the First Direct Arena in Leeds
April 16 at the Royal Centre in Nottingham
April 17 at the Echo 2 in Liverpool
April 18 at the Hammersmith Eventim Apollo in London
April 20 at the BIC in Bournemouth
