Recently the airwaves have been filled with news about Puerto Rico and the devastating natural disasters that have plagued the United States, Caribbean, and Meso-America in the past couple of months.

While the politicians were having a battle of words via social media, Pitbull was ensuring that Puerto Rican cancer patients were safe and receiving the treatments they needed by using his own initiative…and private plane…to quietly transport them to Miami.

In his acceptance speech the Cuban-American artist said that he wanted to inspire those who were helpless right now and reminded us all that this country was built by immigrants.

Currently on tour with Iglesias, Pitbull performed his new single “Por Favor” with Fifth Harmony.

Other artists performing at the gala event were Becky G, Camila Cabello, Bad Bunny, and Prince Royce.
