Performers who sing, dance, and can act are known as a triple threat or someone who can do it all. Sicilian born ballerina Kendra Black began her dance training when she was only five years old and by the time she was eleven, Kendra had begun her travels around the world studying and performing…including in Italy and the Untied States.
But while Kendra loves dance – she teaches dance to children with special needs – making music is her passion and where she wants to focus her career.
Kendra is set to release her debut album this month. And she has garnered the help of a very special guest artist to appear on her album…and he just happens to be her favourite artist. The Fashizzle man himself Snoop Dogg performs on the song “Rude”.
Kendra says that she hopes to collaborate more with Snoop Dogg; noting that they have a similar vibe and they work well together.
With the release of the new album, Kendra is looking to set up some tour dates in the coming year. Kendra says that she loves touring and performing adding that she pays attention to the details because every show should be special.
Proving that she is more than a one hit wonder, Kendra has just launched her first clothing line – a sport and dance line in black and white.
She has also done a little acting and hopes to add to her list of credits in the near future.
Kendra Black may have been born on the island nation of Sicily but now she calls the island of Manhattan home, not far from the Great White Way where being a triple threat is considered a must.
