Designed for experienced yacht owners who want the best of luxury and elegance while exploring the most remote corners of the world, Sanlorenzo’s new 44 X-Space superyacht is the perfect blend of its Explorer range and Navetta line. Her bold exterior lines, the work of Zuccon International Project, retain the Italian yard’s iconic DNA and are exceptionally balanced by her sophisticated interiors, the work of Milan-based designer Piero Lissoni from Lissoni & Partners. Measuring 44.42 metres in length and encompassing five expansive decks, her name highlights the main theme and focal point of her design – space. With an impressive interior volume of 495 GT, her construction features heavy use of glass throughout to create a feeling of transparency and seamless flow between her indoor and outdoor spaces. Featuring several innovative design aspects, we take a closer look at what makes her unique.
Next to her extensive use of glass, her design includes an inventive interior layout. The wheelhouse and captain’s cabin have been positioned on the bridge deck, allowing the upper deck to become an exclusive sanctuary for the owner’s suite. This strategic placement ensures her owner’s can experience the epitome of luxury, with an expansive suite that includes a study, a living room, and a king sized bed, all framed by glass walls. The design provides panoramic views of the surroundings as well as a heightened connection to the sea. The owner’s suite privilege extends to a private terrace at the bow, complete with a 30-square-metre sunbathing area and a swimming pool. As the owner’s suite is located on the upper deck, the main deck has space for additional amenities. It features a generous living room connected to an open-air lounge ideal for alfresco relaxation. The ingenuity of her design is evident, as the space can be expanded by an additional 18-square-metre thanks to the addition of folding balconies, providing more than enough room for hosting or leisure activities. Aft of the main deck lies a spacious terrace, marked by a 18-square-metre swimming pool with a glass edge, creating the illusion of infinite water merging with the sea. Her lower deck is dedicated to housing her guests in the utmost comfort, with four ensuite cabins, two VIP and two configurable. Forward lies the crew quarters, with a crew dinette and cabins to accommodate up to eight crew members in addition to the captain ensuring she has a perfect guest to crew ratio. Powered by twin Caterpillar diesel engines, the 44 X-Space has a top speed of 15 knots and her cruising speed is 12.5 knots, with a range of 3500 nautical miles at 10 knots.
More than just a yacht, the new 44 X-Space superyacht from Sanlorenzo is a symphony of design, luxury, and exploration. For discerning yacht owners in search of a yacht that harmoniously blends elegance, innovation, and the call of the seas, the 44 X-Space emerges as a prime choice.
